Lubrication of Sintering Bearings in Mixers
2025-12-09
Case Study:Optimize the performance of your mixers with effective lubrication for sintering bearings.
Recommended Products: HT810 Food-grade high temperature lubricant
A Turkish kitchen and home appliance manufacturer discovered that their blenders and mixers were making excessive noise. To find the root cause, they inspected the machines and found wear on the sintered metal bearings on the shafts. The reason was that the grease they were using was insufficient to handle the bearings' operating conditions.
The type of grease used to lubricate a bearing is selected based on the bearing load, sliding speed, and bearing temperature. Inferior grease can cause bearing seizure, abnormal wear, noise, and shorten the bearing's service life.
Initially, we recommended using EP800 food-grade grease, a semi-synthetic grease that meets NSF H1 standards and is commonly used in bearings of household appliances . However, this product is not a perfect fit for this application, and after evaluation, we recommend using a more heat-resistant fully synthetic grease .
Ultimately, we recommend using HT810 food-grade high-temperature grease, a fully synthetic grease that meets NSF H1 standards and is suitable for gear applications under extreme conditions, all types of enclosed gear drives, bearings (including sliding rolling bearings and anti-friction bearings), enclosed gearboxes, and reducers.
Using HT810 high-temperature bearing grease to lubricate the sintering bearings of the mixer resulted in the elimination of noise and an increase in bearing life. This significantly improved the quality of the customer's products.
HT810's low coefficient of friction significantly saves energy. Furthermore, this lubricant offers excellent anti-wear properties, a wide operating temperature range, and a longer lubrication life.
