When is it unnecessary or not recommended to use it?
● Clean, low-pressure, low-humidity environments (such as indoor computers, precision electronic equipment, and low-power contacts without vibration): Lubricants are generally not required; simply keeping them clean is sufficient. Excessive grease may attract dust or cause slight interference with high-frequency signals.
● Using the wrong product : regular WD-40 (containing lubricant) or petroleum-based petroleum jelly may leave residual oil film, attract dirt, or damage plastic/rubber parts. Absolutely avoid using it on PCB boards or precision contacts requiring high conductivity.
● Applying too much: If too much is applied to the middle of the contact surface, it may hinder electrical conductivity (especially in cases of low contact pressure).
